Evidence-Based
Therapy Services

I provide therapy for adults navigating mental health and emotional challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater clarity and balance, I offer a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I’m currently accepting new clients both in-person and online across North Carolina.

My Approach

Humanistic

Life experience profoundly shapes who we are. This holistic component of my approach is rooted in the belief that you are more than your symptoms. You are a whole person with unique experiences, values, and potential. I aim to help you better understand yourself through self-awareness and reconnecting with your authentic values. In a supportive, nonjudgmental space, we will explore your thoughts and emotions to develop a deeper sense of meaning, confidence, and direction in your life.

Psychodynamic

It’s common to experience two opposing feelings at the same time! Rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and influenced by Taoist philosophy, this aspect works toward balancing opposites; moving beyond black-and-white thinking to see the full complexity of your experience. We’ll learn to accept “what is” while creating meaningful change by building skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and respond more effectively to life’s challenges. Wellbeing is an ongoing process of finding balance within yourself and your relationships.

This approach is informed by Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. I also draw on ‘third-wave‘ Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, including ACT and DBT. However, as a person-centered therapist, I don’t adhere rigidly to any single modality. Instead, I tailor the work to each client’s unique needs and preferences, prioritizing a safe space for trauma processing and skill-building.

Dialectical

Our internal world consists of thoughts, emotions, and memories that deeply shape how we relate to ourselves and others. This part of my approach focuses on bringing unconscious patterns into awareness. Together, we’ll explore what arises in the moment to uncover patterns you may not have noticed before. By increasing insight into these processes, you can better understand yourself, shift unhelpful patterns, and create more intentional ways of relating and living.
